Shipping & Returns

SHIPPING

The cost of shipping is based on the weight and destination of your order. We have endeavoured to keep shipping as affordable as possible. A shipping calculator can be found on the cart page. Delivery time is 2-10 business days unless otherwise advised. We do not ship to PO boxes.

DELIVERY

Please ensure you enter the correct delivery address as parcels that are returned to us as undeliverable will incur a re-dispatch fee. Postage charges paid for the original dispatch are not refundable.

By default goods will be sent with "Authority to Leave". This means that if no one is available to sign for a delivery the courier will leave the parcel at the premises if deemed reasonably secure. If you do not wish for the parcel to be left without being signed for you must indicate this clearly in the order comments. Parcels returned to us as unclaimed are subject to additional postage charges for re-dispatch. Postage charges paid for the original dispatch are not refundable.

Unsigned delivery is available for most of our product range. Some products may not be eligible for unsigned delivery and if this is the case our Customer Service team will advise you by email and/or phone.

At Shire Sweets we take great care with packing and dispatching our orders, however, occasionally accidents or errors do happen. Notification of damaged, incorrect or missing products must be received by our Customer Service Department within 48 hours of your parcel being received. Missing Parts will be supplied free of charge within 30 calendar days of Shire Sweets being notified.

RETURNS

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item must be in the original packaging, and unopened.

Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase.

You will be responsible for paying for your own postage charges for returning your item. These postage charges are not refundable.

REFUNDS

Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you of the status of your refund after inspecting the item.

If your refund is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original payment method). You will receive the credit within 7 working days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.

Hot Weather Shipping Policy and Information

What you should know:

  • Orders that qualify for free delivery will be delivered via our courier in a climate-controlled cabin to minimise the chance of heat damage.

  • STANDARD Postage/Shipping does NOT include a cold pack or heat-resistant packaging. We do not recommend this option if your order includes heat-sensitive products such as chocolates (especially UK chocolate which can melt at temperatures as low as 26 degrees Celsius)

Unfortunately, refunds/replacements will not be granted due to melted/heat-damaged items, so please consider all of this prior to purchasing. 

What you can do to minimise the chance of heat damage:

  • Take note of the estimated shipping days (stated above). Keep in mind we are located in Sydney. We will take it upon ourselves to be mindful of the weather in Sydney and preferentially not post on days when Sydney is experiencing extremely hot weather conditions.

  • Check the temperature in your area so that you may select the most appropriate delivery/shipping method

  • Orders placed on Sunday which require postage will not be posted until the following Monday.
